There was no more dangerous “myth” or myth, for patriarchy throughout time, than the woman of Themiskyra.

The Amazon as they called her.

To be called a myth, however, was not enough, because even as a myth it was very dangerous in awakening women, throughout the centuries, since through this perspective, women would understand that the woman is not the subordinate, the inferior, the weak creature and the permanently emotional, passive one that so much would like some phallocrats because it would suit them.

But that woman is not only emotion, beauty, wisdom, and love, but also power, creator and builder, master of her destiny, worthy and capable of everything, even creating her own states… Even her own societies. So they made sure to slander them in this myth or “myth” as you want to call it.

That’s the method they’ve always used, after all. Slander, perversion, manipulation. So they presented them as belligerent,  only they never told you the obvious and logical (We just have to consider the way phallocrats today and through the course of history have been acting towards women) that most likely these women were forced to become warriors, to defend their lives, their bodies, their freedom, since every now and then, as their own myths describe, patriarchs, phallocrats, the bandits, kidnappers, they invaded their land, they took females by force.

Only you were never told that the women of Themiskyra, in case they did exist in reality and not just mythical, would surely have suffered the same fate as the Native American tribes, when they fell into the hands of the whites.

They were represented as hags,as evil, barbarous, as killing little boys and inhuman, in order to make them look just so in our eyes.  Except that no matter how many lies and darkness of soul they imposed on history, the truth can not fail to prevail. It already dominates the hearts of women all over the planet in all ages because no matter how they are presented, thousands of women around the world, throughout human history, have sensed this truth.

Thousands of women around the world in every era have felt admiration and love for these mythical or “mythical” women. Perhaps it is because we have felt and feel in the depths of our souls, in every cell not only the truth and light behind all this darkness but also that something secret, something absolutely sacred connects them and us. The ones before and the ones to come.

Now, women are claiming equality on a global level.But on our earth, literally or symbolically, in our own inner world, woman has always been and is a queen and goddess of herself, the creator and builder of her own life. Inspire and guide her past and her future. the ruler of her own destiny basically.
