Book Description.

A strange female figure, a shadow of an ancient woman, an Amazon appears to a girl and instills in her soul, the primordial memory conveying her own truths and messages to the modern world and femininities everywhere. Esotericism, primal memory, messages from them, and sneak peeks into the future compose the lyrics in this poetry collection.

More details:

What can a “shadow” say to a girl? What can a “shadow” say to you? What connects the mythical women with us, globally and throughout time? Another story… The voice from the other side. The myth through the eyes of women! The end of patriarchy. The emergence of the new world and the era of “She Who Brings the Water.” … And a love in infinity, a love that lasts forever.

How much heroes are your “heroes”..?

Killing a woman and stealing her belt is a heroic act?… How responsible and brave is it to always blame for your crimes a “Hera”?… How heroic is it to always blame for all your crimes a “Beautiful Helen”?… Would you call a guy who with a hypocritical fake gift of peace, invades another people’s land and slaughters people simply “resourceful”? Or would you call him ruthless, deceitful, scoundrel and a criminal…?

“The end always justifies the means” ? Or is this exactly the mentality that has bled and destroyed our planet for so many centuries? The story otherwise… The voice from the other side. Τhe myth through the eyes of women! Shadows of restless souls in “myths” slandered by the patriarchy, which find here some rudimentary form of justification.

Against the “demonization” of women by the patriarchy and also against the “beautification” of immoral male mythical characters, models and behaviors presented by the macho “priesthood” to the masses as heroes.

THE THIRD EDITION OF THE BOOK  STIS POLITEIES TIS GYNAIKAS (IN THE WOMAN’S REALMS)  AKAKIA PUBLICATIONS- 2026

Stis Politeies tis Gynaikas – The journey of the book

In anticipation of the preparation of the third enlarged edition, let’s see a few basic things about the book “Stis Politeies tis Gynaikas/In the Woman’s Realms”, Akakia Publications. Its author, Christina Margeti, was inspired and started writing it around 2013-2014. It was first printed in 2022 and published in London by Akakia Publications. In small size originally and in limited copies.

The heroines of the book are those women who were called Amazons, and the story here is presented through the eyes of women and not under the patriarchal, phallocratic prism.

It is dedicated indicatively to human rights activists who have passed away, such as Evangelia Vlami and Marina Galanou, to victims of violence such as Myrto in Paros, Zak Kostopoulos and Eleni Topaloudi, and to femininities worldwide and throughout time, without discrimination.

In 2023, the second enlarged edition was published and released by Akakia Publications. It is in Greek at the moment, but the whole poetry collection will be translated into English in due course.

I have always liked writing since I was a child, in an amateur way. For me, writing has been the best way to express thoughts, emotions, dreams, worries, doubts, and my inner world. I write consciously only about what I love, what inspires me, and what makes me reflect, always with my heart.

I would never write flattering words about people I do not appreciate or respect, nor for professional or commercial reasons. My poetry and writings are infused with my own perception, consciousness, logic, heart, and values.

When an image, a dream, or an idea comes to me, I write it down and return to it whenever I have time and desire, continuing and refining it without haste, pressure, or obligation. I let my poems “breathe” and, over time, I mature them while preserving their original essence and authenticity.

I revisit the words, erase, write, erase again, and rewrite until I feel satisfied. I can publish my books multiple times if needed, until I feel I am offering my very best.

I aim for my verses to remain simple, so they do not become obscure, especially when they touch on social issues, so that readers can understand as clearly as possible what I am expressing.

I believe that every artist has the audience they deserve, and vice versa. I am grateful for a thoughtful audience that questions, does not accept “ready-made” answers, looks beyond the surface, does not judge based on covers or labels, and possesses empathy, sensitivity, and love for all beings, with respect for diversity and a vision for a better world.

For me, poetry is sacred—an elevated art without borders or limitations, universal and ahead of its time, expressing the Aquarian symbolism of innovation, independence, and freedom. It should stand by the oppressed and the marginalized, with supreme values of individual and social freedom and the well-being of all beings.

The author of the book “Stis Politeies tis Gynaikas” (In the Woman’s Realms) and creator of the New Themiskyra, Christina Margeti.
