Biography of Christina Margeti.
I was born in 1980 in Athens. I’ve been writing as a hobby since I was a child. I studied Computer Science and took courses in Greek Culture at the Hellenic Open University, with a particular interest in history and social structures.
I am the founder of the sole proprietorship “Nea Themiskyra,” through which I distribute my work online, as well as the works of other creators.
My first book is a poetry collection I published titled “ Stis Politeies tis Gynaikas” (In the Woman’s Realms) I was inspired to write it and began working on it around 2014. It was first published in 2022 in London by Akakia Publications, with expanded editions in 2023 and 2026. Verses from my book have been set to music in English, while other poems of mine have been published in international print and online literary magazines.
From a young age, I have been actively involved in various human rights initiatives. I have also signed the collective initiative “Her Voice—Women Writers Against Gender-Based Violence” and am a supporter of Amnesty International’s work.
In my free time, I love being in nature, walking, reading, and practicing energy healing techniques. I hold a second-degree Reiki certification.
