Several times I have heard many acquaintances complain that they can’t sleep, or that they don’t sleep well or enough. Thoughts, stresses, pressures of everyday life, problems, plague the mind sometimes and it’s hard to let go and relax. But also in the change of seasons sometimes this phenomenon is observed. It can also happen in other circumstances, for example when we move to another region, country and also when we are hosted in other houses or we are on holiday and we are not in our own private spaces. What you can try.
First try to eliminate all thoughts, let them go, as they came. You can take a few deep, slow breaths by inhaling through your nose, holding them in for a few seconds and exhaling through your mouth, feeling and believing in that moment that all the burdens are leaving you. Also before you go to bed you can drink a glass of hot or cold milk, chamomile, or some other herb of your choice. Also a shower before bedtime always helps.
If you want to turn down the radio to ethnic soft sounds, or mantra, new age relaxed music, which will surely take you on a journey by calming your mind. Alternatively, do a meditation. It helps a lot and is a very effective way to calm and relax!

Choose a video with a recorded voice that you like and that will inspire you and follow the instructions you hear. Just relax your body, close your eyes in a state of quiet and calm and visualize the images/states that each meditation describes.
You may also do well to simply bring to mind a beautiful, peaceful place, a landscape you love and visualize yourself being there, without having to watch a recorded meditation.
Also, if you want, you can put an amethyst stone under your pillow to take advantage of its healing, relaxing properties that are said to be helpful.
In general, energy stones are thought to help on a spiritual, energetic level, each having some specific properties. It may help to put on a low volume radio, your favorite station, or a recorded theatrical performance as an alternative.
Its important to have soft dark colours in your bedroom on walls, furniture, fabrics that help to calm you. They also say it’s good to have no TV or other electrical appliances to avoid distractions and make things worse. Of course this is relative. Not everyone has the same manners. Some people can’t sleep unless they have the TV on or the radio playing low. And that’s okay if it helps.
I’m sure some of the above, if not all, might improve the situation. Just try them. But don’t forget to always ask for help from health care professionals when needed, in cases of stress, prolonged insomnia and anxiety who are the most competent authorities to help on such matters.
