We live in a world where the surface matters more than the content and substance. Thousands of people all over the world do not feel comfortable with their own bodies, or with the clothes they wear for example, either because they are not “top” brands, or because their bodies are not the “ideal” weight, height, etc. But is this right? Of course not. And after all, what and who has the illusion that they can determine what is ideal and what is not, since what we call ideal is something so subjective and so different for each everyone?
Imagine a world where we all, everyone, everything would have the same appearance, same body weight, same height, same tastes, same style. Would such a world be beautiful? Probably not. It would certainly be dull, boring. Nature, the universe, everything, is made up of different and rich colors, species, varieties, creatures, and that is precisely the beauty of things, the uniqueness, the diversity. What sets you apart and gives you your own special imprint.
So you have no reason, in fact, to not be comfortable with you, with your body, with your appearance. After all, we’re not just bodies. We’re hearts, souls. Let’s not forget that. And real, essential beauty always starts from within us and illuminates our outside. It is not bad, of course, to take care of yourself, put on make-up, wear expensive brands on everything, follow fashion, etc. You’re right. It’s your right. But it’s not okay, and you don’t have the right to have the belief that everyone has to be exactly the same and do exactly the same as you.
Whatever you do is good to do because you really like it and not because it is imposed by any rules of others. Dress how you want, do what you want with your body, but let other people do the same, dress and exist as they want, as they are, as they feel and sense and accept them for who they are. That is the true beauty, after all, diversity, pluralism.
