To recognize true love, you need to know what love is. True love is never something complicated. It is always something clear and simple. Either there is love, or there is not. There is no “yes, but.” No more or less. Love never betrays. It never hurts. It never tears you to pieces. It never tortures you, nor does it toy with your soul. Love always remains true to its nature. Love is revealed through the actions that bear witness to it.
True love never makes you agonize, wonder, remain uncertain, or doubt. It is not a competition, a war, or a battlefield. Toxicity is not love. True love solves problems; it does not create them. It is responsibility and consistency between words and actions. Love makes you feel joy, confidence, and trust. It makes you feel beautiful and comfortable, allowing you to be yourself. It is the perfect harmony and balance between mind and heart, reason and emotion. There is no place for secrets and lies. Our lives are not roles, nor the playing field of some game.
Love is aware. It knows how to recognize mistakes. Love is empathy. It shares with you both joys and sorrows. It rejoices when you rejoice. It grieves when you grieve. Love is wisdom. It teaches you how to become the best version of yourself. It helps you evolve mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Love stays forever. It annihilates distance. When two beings truly love each other and mutually wish to share a common life, then distance becomes only temporary.
I wonder if you will recognize love when it comes… Even if it stands quietly by your side, discreetly, without grand words or extravagant manners; even if it only smiles at you, even if it approaches you shyly? Can you listen when silence speaks? Can you recognize love within a glance? What if it comes in ways different from those you imagined? And if it does not fit the standards or the outer image you have created in your mind, will you still recognize it? What if it comes hidden within someone you once went to school with, someone you have known since childhood, someone living in the same neighborhood, someone you work with, or even disguised as a friendship? Whether it has a familiar face or that of a stranger, whatever form it takes, will you recognize it when you encounter it somewhere along your path, when it finally enters your life…?
