Notice regarding incidents of harassment on buses, the Underground and public transport.
Incidents have been reported in various areas of Athens, as well as on routes in Eastern Attica, where a group of minors is reported to be harassing girls and women (and others) with verbal abuse and sexist remarks.
It is not a “joke”.
It is not “just adolescence”.
Verbal abuse and harassment are unacceptable and are offences under the law.
Zero tolerance for misogyny and any form of hate.
If you find yourself in such a situation:
Speak up.
Inform the driver or relevant staff.
Call 100 (Police)
