Another shipwreck again… And another boat, an inflatable that sank… In the Aegean, in the Mediterranean, in the seas… And more dead women, children, poor, downtrodden people those who tried to escape misery, war. People whose stories we will never know. Their dreams. Why they left, where they wanted to go. Maybe not even their names. People who before the turmoil hit them literally and figuratively, had normal lives, careers, homes, decent and even affluent lives. Worthy-people who had built their lives. And now, perhaps they-will not be mourned from afar by their families or loved ones if, of course, they ever learn of their loss. People who fell victim to criminals, slave traders. Circuits of exploitation of human suffering, of misery, of fear… Circuits that get rich from the despair, the fear, the impoverishment of people… I wanted to know if and how human traffickers can sleep at night with so much blood on their hands…with so much blood money in their pockets, in their accounts. No amount of money can ensure a clear conscience and a peaceful sleep you see, and with this curse of blood money, they will lie down at night, not to rest, but to turn guiltily in their beds of shame. Perhaps some nights they may even see in their sleep the dead faces of their victims, perhaps Postscript: In any case, it is good to accept the immigrants with love, respect, to help them and these,people as much as we can, because we do not know whether we will ever be in their places. if for various reasons we were ever forced to leave, we would certainly want wherever we went to be treated well, with respect and love. Because everything is wheels and turns someday and because karma is a bitch as the saying goes and because life itself, someday attitudes and actions return. . After all, all of us, temporary we were on this planet. So in essence we are all and all of us immigrants, if you think about it…
But immigrants are one thing and the exploitation and trafficking circuits are another… Of course they are not the same.
