Happiness is something different and subjective for every being. Others feel happiness through companionship, a marriage, having children, contact with animals, or nature, or through career, professional life, travel, contact with other cultures, or involvement in art, sports activities, things that please each-one-an, or even the simplest everyday things, like waking up very early in the morning and watching the sunrise, reading the morning paper, drinking your coffee, everyday little things and habits, but for you, that are important and make you feel complete and good.
And that’s okay. We were different, unique beings, and we could never naturally experience happiness all the same way. Others-those who consider happiness to be small moments and that they don’t last long. Maybe that is so, I will not dispute the personal experiences , nor the various personal experiences of people who believe this and see it that way. For me, happiness comes first from within. When we truly feel complete and full-with-our-selves, then no external factor can make us feel empty, “lacking.” For me, happiness is the stability, the lastingness that always comes from honesty, faith, loyalty, certainty and assurance, trust, optimism, and responsibility. It is the force that allows for principle, foundation, creation, evolution, progress, and prosperity in all areas of life. The yin is the foundation stone of everything. Stability is the key. Without it, nothing can be founded or remain standing for long. Now, if the universe also sends you a true companion on this journey of your soul in this world, that is good fortune and a blessing. But good fortune and blessing is yourself, yourself alone. Blessing and good fortune is life itself by itself, existence itself. And that is enough. We have no more than to acknowledge and appreciate this divine gift, feeling and experiencing the joy and gratitude of being and “I am.”
