Some people believe that Reiki teachers and energy healers/therapists should not be paid for the Reiki they give, since Reiki is the highest energy of universal love and should not be commercialized. I agree that Reiki is, of course, the highest energy of universal love. However, I disagree with their belief about fees.
Money is a form of energy exchange. In everything there is a give and take, and it is always good to have a balance in this. Otherwise, if there is no balance and there is only giving, it becomes exploitation. AND THEFT of energy is what this is called on a spiritual level. And sometimes the therapist/healer, teacher/instructor may accept payment in kind, which is positive and legitimate. But how long will there be an objective need for the items you have to give to the other person?
The propaganda and belief that “money is evil” suits the “elite” of the planet just fine (I can write this, following the reasoning of some people who are against remuneration) as long as the masses reject it with the mindset that it is something bad and demonic.
Of course, the way you earn your money matters… If, for example, you murder people, steal the fruits of others’ labor, or are a human trafficker, then yes, I would agree that money earned in such ways is “bad.”
In the universe itself, there is generally abundance, pluralism, and diversity. Why should we have a mindset of misery?
The therapist and teacher in each session, seminar, or class, gives their energy, time, and money to learn more, evolve more, and improve themselves to become the therapist or teacher they are today. All of this, of course, must be rewarded. The effort and work of each and every one (in general, not just in Reiki) must be rewarded. This is self-evident, fair, and legitimate! Everything else, I consider invalid and unnecessary, stemming from obviously incorrect perceptions about money and restrictive mental programs, in my opinion.
