“Demonisation” of women, subtly embedded in consciousness through myths, by the phallocentric–patriarchal system. Some examples:
Lilith was a “demon” (because she did not want submission).
Eve was “to blame” (because she ate an apple).
Zeus transformed into animals and abducted/assaulted women, yet Hera was portrayed as the “evil” one.
Heracles, who had killed even his own children, always blaming Hera for his crimes, invaded foreign lands, stole and killed, yet the Amazons were portrayed as “monstrous women” (because they wanted to live on their own land with self-determination and independence).
Helen of Troy was to blame (for the war that others waged in Troy), and there are countless other similar “beautiful” examples…
Regardless of the different eras and cultures in which these myths originated, regardless of the ideological, religious, or spiritual cloaks worn by phallocrats, and regardless of the masks they adopt, they are all united by one common element: their inferiority complex and their hatred of women.
When phallocrats wrote myths and stories, and when their modern counterparts reproduce them, the irrational is presented as rational, black is presented as white, and darkness as light. Because patriarchy has always despised individual freedom, will, strength, worth, and self-determination of femininities and of all other beings.
